    Very pleased with my new ACR Ashdale multifuel stove. Excellent customer support from ACR. This is my first stove so I had plenty of questions about how to get the best out of the Ashdale. I have phoned them several times to get advice. The ACR technical team have been brilliant. It's really good to be able to speak directly to the manufacturer and to have such welcoming responses. Customer service at it's best. Many thanks.

    Terrible customer service, poor communication and rude. Having used ACR for several years to service our boiler, we called them out to do a repair when it packed in. Phoned them on the Monday, job was booked in for the Thursday at 1pm. Took the day off work and waited and waited. Long story short, it was a no-show. No communication aside from me phoning their office mid afternoon to be told he was running behind but would definitely be coming. Finally got a text from the engineer around 7pm to say he wouldnt be coming and I needed to contact the office the next morning to schedule another appointment. When I asked to be prioritised for the following day (wed already been without heating for 5 days) I was told they were, not surprisingly, fully booked. I replied suggesting that as theyd kept me waiting all afternoon and failed to show perhaps they could look at their diary and bump one of their other non-urgent appointments on. I got a reply from the engineer later on saying that he couldnt get to everyone when it suited them and he wouldnt tolerate being told what to do and when. He ended by suggesting we look for another heating engineer. Actually that turned out to be great advice and we contacted a proper company who sent out an engineer within 24 hours and the problem was fixed quickly and efficiently. My complaint isnt that ACR failed to show up (I appreciate that the engineer obviously had a nightmare of a day) its that there was no communication to tell me he wasnt coming and no effort to then try and find a way of resolving a diary issue, other than shoving us to the back of the queue. The positive outcome from all of this is that it has forced us to find a decent company to look after our boiler who, unlike ACR, are not a one man band. For that I am grateful.
