Great for young people until they get to a reasonably decent level then unfortunately nothing on offer to progress. Seems a small number of members do trips but don't invite teenagers to join them so seems to be mostly a club for adults already able to kayak. Having to look for other clubs in the area.

The canoe club does both recreational paddling in white water plastic boats alongside a racing team. The recreational group go on regular outings as well as having a coached session a week on a Saturday. They are a nice bunch and are quite welcoming to new members. The racing group has something for everyone ranging from the younger generation coming for a couple of paddles, adults going for gentle social paddles, all the way to more competitive adults whom have accoladed achievements at the national, European and world levels. All this includes para athletes (we are a para partner canoe club). The club has a real friendliness and welcoming.
