Lovely staff in there, always helpful and patient when my little one wants to help add up the shopping and pay or asks 100 "what's this" questions. They've got a fair variety of fresh fruit and veg as well as tinned goods. I've always managed to get what I needed in there and used to enjoy the lunchtime baps they make up fresh in there too (pre celiac days). There's a nice selection of fresh cut flowers and potted plants too as well as bird food and compost. They also used to take in your old plastic bags to reuse, which was great but haven't checked if they still do but nice that they make efforts to be eco friendly.

Unwelcoming staff. Still using plastic bags for fresh fruit and veg. Average quality fruit. I wanted to start shopping more local rather than supermarkets but these kind of places really need to up their game or they are going to sadly disappear.

Debbie is just the best does some amazing flowers and always ready to help at last minute dot com a call from me in Australia and Debbie gets it sorted top lady looking forward to seeing her soon xxx

A fantastic local shop. This shop has been a lifesaver with a surprising large selection of stock, especially the hardware store next door has everything. Debbie has really high quality fruit and veg and has been servicing the local community for many years. I always try to Shop local and DR Powell rarely lets me down. Thank you Debbie :)
