I had yesterday an appointment as a new nhs patient with Mr Bhavesh Patel, I have to say my experience wasnt too nice as a really anxious patient, the guy was really unfriendly, not kind, no patience at all, make me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Hopefully he just has a bad day or something otherwise I feel sorry for anyone that walks in that treatment room. Obviously wont see him again. I didnt feel comfortable or safe to go forward with him, so I just booked another appointment with another dentist in there.

The receptionist was incredibly rude and made personal assumptions about my situation while blaming me for over charging me!!!

Forcing you to have a dentist before the hygienist, even if you are not obligated to do so due to legislation has changed since 2013 when the GDC removed its barrier to Direct Access, therefore Dental hygienists and dental therapists can carry out their full scope of practice without prescription and without the patient having to see a dentist first. The only exception to this is tooth whitening, which must still be carried out on a prescription from a dentist. I hope that the practice will familiarise themselves with the new legislation.

I'm a new patient at this practice NHS. I hadn't been to a dentist since before covid. Anyway staff were helpful. I am in a wheelchair. First issue is I have is the ramp is too steep going up and down. When I got into the dentist felt the dentist was a little brutal in how he spoke. I accept its the truth but felt a little belittling. I am aware of my failings but felt it was being rubbed in my face. I intend to go back for now but not sure about the future .
