Classic pub - cask ales, great hidden gem

The nicest pub in the area, having crept up the rankings in recent years. Excellent decor and feel to the pub. Lots of beautiful and interesting features. Worth seeking out. Great bar staff too and outstanding food. Top marks. Definitely beats the Coopers and Phoenix now. A proper boozer, as my husband says.

A nice pub but 9.80 for a pint and pack of pork scratchings is excessive! I've flown to Geneva for less than that...

Beautiful pub with top service. I never experienced such a customer service in any pub in England before. We didn't try any dish as we just came for a drink but the table next to us had some food and the dishes looked yummy. Definitely we will come back to try
