I have very mixed feelings and experiences of the Sloane Court Clinic. Dr Au is a brilliant doctor and I will always be grateful for the assessment I had. It has led to diagnosis and treatment that has got my life on track again. The admin staff were also very helpful when I needed some cheaper treatment options. They looked into it promptly and suggested good quality alternatives. The Sloane Court Clinic disappointed overall, however. My major gripe is that in my last psychiatry appointment I was told that I should have a further appointment in January, once I started therapy. No one has been in touch with me to arrange this (it's now almost April) so I feel very much like they take extortionate amounts of money but do not pay enough attention to the smaller details, which they really should be following through on. The net result is feeling like they are happy to take big sums of your money, but don't really care about you as a person. The other issues I experienced related to the length of time it took me to hear back from them after I made an initial enquiry. I was in crisis and very desperate, but they took 2 weeks to respond to my referral. When they did, it was to tell me my NHS GP needed to refer me, which prolonged the process unnecessarily. There's a lot this practice could do to make patients feel cared for as human beings. When you're charging 450.00 per appointment, I'm sorry, but you need to provide a flawless service around that. It's just not good enough.

I had a very positive experience with Dr Burman-Roy for an adult ADHD assessment. He was supportive, friendly, professional and a clear communicator. He gave me a lot of agency in choosing my own direction for intervention and really validated my difficult life experiences without being patronising. He saw me as a person first, who happens to have ADHD. Not a 'oh typical ADHD patient' type of situation. I have recommended my friend who is struggling with their medication from another psychiatrist to come and see Dr Burman-Roy to get a second opinion, as I am doing really well on my meds so far.

Dr Howells is the best out there. Very caring and knowledgeable and always there to answer any questions, he even answered my emails on New Years Eve. Highly recommend. Leisha Davies is also top notch.
