Claire was absolutely fantastic and accomodating right from the beginning. Coming in from overseas for my wedding, I had a tight timeline to do my trial, but Claire made it happen and was so patient and kind to work around my schedule. During the whole experience she made me feel so calm and comfortable and really made my bridal vision come to life! She made me feel so beautiful and for someone who is often picky about how my makeup is done, her talent really blew me away. Not only is she just a wonderful person and a pleasure to work with, but the meticulous attention to detail and consideration in my personal preferences was so appreciated! I'm so happy that my daughter chose Claire to be the Make Up Artist for her Wedding. As someone who rarely wears make up, Claire's advice and taylored suggestions were greatly appreciated. I first met Claire at the Northbrook Park wedding fair and as soon as we started chatting, I knew I had to have her on my big day! Not only because she is INCREDIBLY talented and very clearly knows her stuff, but also because she is such a wonderful, lovely person. We had a lot in common and got on amazingly well! Claire made the whole process so easy - from the initial bookings to prep guides and tips, she was always available and happy to help, friendly and always professional. She even helped recommend a hair stylist for the big day too, and very kindly liaised with them so that Mum and I could have our trials with both of them at her studio. She worked out an amazing timetable, building in any suggestions and ensured the day ran to time and super smoothly. On the big day, Claire chatted away with me, did a BEAUTIFUL job and gave me the biggest squeeze just before I walked down the aisle. She made me feel so at ease and excited for what was to come. I booked Claire to do my hair and make up for my wedding day at Cain Manor in Hampshire last year and to this day I still tell everyone how incredibly happy I was that I did! I found it really hard to find a hair AND make up artist who had the style that I liked. I wanted natural make up but with a little bit of 'me' included and I must have trawled through at least 100 different websites/ social media pages to try and find the one. It was my lucky day finding Claire! She was so professional, came back to me quickly on any queries I had and her pre-wedding day info was SO helpful! She had incredibly useful recommendations for the morning of the wedding and the night before which I was so grateful for. The trial was great, I felt Claire was really approachable and lovely to chat to but also really took the time to listen to the type of 'look' I wanted to achieve. But Claire really came into her own on the morning of my wedding, there was a LOT going on (as is often the case I am told) and I felt quite over whelmed before I even sat down for my hair/make up. But the second I got in the chair with Claire I felt instantly calmed, she was so relaxing to have around and offered great nuggets of advice as the morning went on without being imposing at all. In fact, Claire was my knight in shining armour. When it was time to get the dress on and I was being asked to hurry by everyone, Claire was the one to remind me quietly that the show can't start without me and I was to take the time I needed. She stayed with me right to when I walked down the aisle and I couldn't have been happier to have her there. In fact, I wish she stayed the whole day just so I had her calming presence !! In regards to my actual hair and make up - they were perfection. Even on the day I thought I'd have to do my inner eye liner as I am so squeamish with my eyes, but Claire managed to do it without an issue - she was very gentle and it looked amazing. My hair remained in place all day and all night and the make up still looked fresh right up until I took it off before bed (I was almost tempted to sleep in it for the next day!). If you are like me and not sure whether to have a hair/make up artist for your wedding... do not hesitate, and book in Claire ! Services: Special occasion makeup, Hairstyling
