Had a great day driving about in the tractors in the beautiful surroundings. Trevor was great with his instruction and explanations about the history of the farm and the tractors. The experience also gave me a new appreciation for the hard work that goes in to farming! Thanks guys!!!

This was the first time the course had been run and so was a learning experience for everyone. It is a good introduction for anyone who has never welded with a quite wide range of different Mig and stick welders to try out - very useful before choosing your own welder if you don't already have one. For someone with some experience there may be less to gain but you're still likely to come away having learned quite a bit. The focus is primarily on welding to good farm standards - you're unlikely to come away as a pipeline welder! Welding of thin (eg vehicle panels) metal was also touched on. The only negative with the course is that the workshop electical supply needs to be upgraded as it tripped out on multiple occasions. This is expected to have been done before the next course.
