Ive just sold my boat after 2 1/2 years on the kennet and avon. In that time, i have seen operatives from the the C and RT ....NEVER!! Only one contact with the most unpleasant warden who even attaches notices to sunken boats....if i hadnt seen it i wouldnt of believed it! The wharf Elsan point at Devizes is always overflowing, not a single attempt to improve any part of the towpaths, water points dont work, no mooring points available, and a charity!!! Absolute disgrace, more a parasitic feeder than a charity. If you are a manager of this company i dont know how you sleep at night knowing there is a community needing help and you are screwing them. Appalling behaviour.

Fantastic area, something for all ages. A lot of effort goes into keeping the area clean and tidy by the Volunteers and permanent staff members. The 16 lock staircase is a sight to behold. Also take a walk in Diamond Jubilee Woods again maintained by the woodland volunteers which is now maturing nicely.
