On 2/5 I was served up what looked liked leftover pieces of animal fat , taken from the used plates of restaurant diners and placed into a takeaway tub for 9.99 . I have long- thought it was suspicious that takeaway customers cannot see their meal getting put together at the carvery counter and now I know why. Absolutely disgusting. The Napoleonic managers attitude was unapologetic offering me either a replacement meal or a refund, but not both considering this was my returning visit to the restaurant , and to top it off, now they say they do not have the meat of my choice left after serving several pieces of animal fat. Why not just say this at first? We are human, people make mistakes is what I was told. No . That was prepared and wrapped up in the kitchen by a human who should have known better than to serve what I was sold for 9.99. Train your management in some customer service Toby Carvery . Oulton . And get some qualified kitchen staff. As no qualified chef would have put the meal I was served to their name . You only need to look at my google review history to see that it is not too often that I feel the need to leave a review, but the service here was so terrible that this was written as a WARNING to anyone considering take-out food from Toby Carvey , Oulton.
