The Welcome Inn - Hotel Rotherham

Stayed here as the prices for hotels in sheffield were stupid. Although it was a taxi ride out, it only cost 15 for four of us. The hotel itself didnt dissapoint. Rooms: The rooms were bigger than your usual budget hotels.

Nice spacious rooms. Clean. Bathroom and shower large and modern, very good TV tiny but what you'd expect for a cheaper priced hotel. No plug sockets near bed was main downside. Overall really good for price, would definitely come again.

We stayed here for our trip to Rotherham football club only 15 minutes away. It is also very handy for away fans visiting Sheffield United. Very near to Meadowhall shopping precinct and only 5 minutes from the M1 so very handy for anyone needing a break on a long trip north or south. The hotel has a large carpark with free parking, and disabled spaces by the entrance. On entry there is a check-in desk in the lounge and restaurant area, where staff were very friendly, giving us a choice of rooms to pick from. The hotel is away from main roads so there is no noise from outside and inside was also very quiet so we had an excellent night's sleep. Our room was very large with plenty of room for a wheelchair and the mattress was really comfortable, contributing to our great night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was excellent, great choice and well cooked and presented, also very reasonably priced. All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this Travelodge if you are visiting the area or simply need a night's stopover, certainly the best Travelodge we have used.
