Lime Wharf Cafe

Four of us ate a Sunday afternoon meal. We had booked for 1.30 pm, so the place was more or less full when we arrived. Nevertheless, we were swiftly greeted and seated. Front of house staff were attentive but not intrusive. They were friendly, prepared to engage in a little banter, and happy to take a photo of us when asked. My three friends ordered vegan falafel burgers with sweet potato fries. I went for the huevos mexicanos, which came with frijoles, salsa, quacamole, and flat bread; not a conventional Mexican tortilla but nonetheless very tasty. We all thought the food was excellent. My eggs were cooked to perfection. Lime Wharf Cafe is a great place for parties of a dozen or more, so long as you book in advance. As it is the eatery for an adjacent campsite, it can be very busy in the warm summer months. However, there is a large area of outdoor seating to accommodate the additional guest. Last year, I booked a two-hour cruise on the Rother from Lime Wharf and a table for twelve on our return. We were a party of mixed ages from 1 to 65, and everybody said just how much they had enjoyed the experience. I would definitely recommend the cafe. Vegetarian options: A simple menu with excellent vegetarian and vegan options.

AMMMMAZZZING FOOD. Brilliant vegetarian options that taste delicious. A real gem. If youre thinking about it, BOOK IT. Lovely staff.
