GPS Training

I was going to purchase from Amazon but so glad I didnt. The additional support I have received from GPS training has been great. The garmin Etrex SE I purchased was checked over and set up by Jon and his team and also received some brochures and set up instructions with the unit. I had previously spoke to Jon on the phone about which unit would be a good choice for my needs and he gave me some top saving tips on that first call. I have no affiliation link to this company nor am I related to any of the staff but just wanted to compliment a great company who did me proud! Plus look on YouTube for the orange GPS training logo to check out many training videos and tips. Thanks Jon.

Needed to replace my old GPS unit but wasn't sure my OS maps would work in a modern unit, Contacted GPS Training and they have been fantastic, after a few emails it was established it was best to send the SD Card to them or call in to their base in Rothbury. I chose to call in, met with John who tried my SD Card in a number of units and established my requirements, at no time did I feel under pressure to purchase and the advice was first class. I quickly established that I couldn't buy from a more knowledgeable person. I bought a GPSMAP 66S. But that's not all you get! I was given a number of leaflets prepared by GPS Training to help me understand my unit and the associated Software. However it was once I got home and opened an email from John that the magic happened, loads of links to the Youtube videos this company produce to help understand how to set un and use my new GPS. The advice and resource has been invaluable I just would not buy from anywhere else.

Just a quick message to say a sincere "thank you" to you for the help and assistance I have received in the last couple of weeks when purchasing my ETREX 32x. Through research, of my own, I identified which product best suited both my requirements and budget and in doing that research I came across your very informative video guides. Once I realised that not only could I benefit from the video guides that you provide but actually purchase the equipment direct from you and in so doing get a twelve month access to your full range of training aids - well it was a no brainer! Have spent the last week getting to grips with the ETREX. Loading routes and transferring routes to a GPX file on my desk top, from your excellent Ordinance Survey route planner maps on your website. Then downloading the GPX files to my ETREX. When I initially got stuck and some what confused the telephone call to your office and subsequent advice from Andy was very helpful. He is a natural teacher as one sees from the very effective video lessons he provides on line. In these days of shoddy service and poor communication between retailer and customer it is truly heartening to find a company, like GPS Training, that provide good old fashioned service to their customers. I had been thinking about buying a dedicated GPS unit for hiking for a while, so after doing some research I found content from GPS Training on YouTube. This content was extremely helpful in explaining the differences between the models and how they work. GPS Training offered competitive pricing to other vendors, but the deal clincher for me was the gold support package that comes for free with the purchase of my GPS unit. The GPS unit arrived the next day pre-configured with GPS Trainings recommended base setting, and some printed quick start guides for the GPS unit and Garmin Basecamp. Before long I was up and running and working my way through their online training course material (provided as part of the gold support), which has given me the confidence that I truly know how the GPS unit works including its limits and capabilities. Thank you, GPS Training, if only all companies provided this level of customer care.
