Sainsbury's Caf

Went here for the first time to eat today as they have a vegan option on their menu, the smashed avocado on sourdough toast. I also had a cup of tea with soya milk. The avocado was on two slices and a small pot of tea which came in at 3.20. I have no idea what other reviewers are going on about price for but 3.20 is brilliant for what I got. All served on proper plates and cutlery therefore no wasteage on single use reciprocals. This is a cafe and a far better cafe than most on the street as the prices reflect this. Proper portion sizes and two cups from the pot so I am happy. The place was clean and tidy and a nice atmosphere with the local people who can see a deal with the prices and what's on offer. Now my only gripes are with the single serving condiments as seen in the picture. These I find wasteful and environmentally unsound. I would like to see the whetherspoon approach of proper containers for such condiments. Secondly the point of contact at the counter was not very welcoming or friendly which is very important in this type of business for repeat customers. A good morning and how are you doing today sells a lot more than a deal of the day. In summary a good cafe with a great pricing structure. The food I had which was vegan was good and worth the money. It falls short on the single packets for all condiments and a lack of friendlier service.
