Just been to see The Jerseys at Brookside Theatre. What a fantastic theatre and the show was amazing. Wonderfully friendly, helpful staff and we had a fantastic night. Will definitely be returning. 5 stars for The Jerseys and the theatre.

This little haven is a piece of gold in the area of Romford. It brings high quality performances to the general public at the fraction of the price of the Westend. The shows are really varied from musicals to comedy, bands to the paranormal! The front of house volunteers are delightful and always willing to help. I have seen some unnecessary reviews on here regarding experiences. I have witnessed some of the negative experiences as an audience member and I have to say, those complaining have clearly not read small print when booking and throw their toys out the pram as they dont get what they want immediately. In my experience, The Brookside Theatre bend over backwards to accommodate their patrons and the negative comments I have seen are merely being spiteful as they didnt get their own way. I have have seen numerous shows at The Brookside Theatre and will endeavour to do so for a long time to come. Many congratulations to the recent cast of The Sound of Music. Absolutely brilliant! The children were outstanding and the rest of the cast were superb! Keep it up Brookside! Looking forward to the next instalment

Just got home from seeing Brooksides production of The Sound of Music and what a glorious evening it turned out to be. All very last minute but boy, was it worth the drive. As expected from SOM, the kids stole the show and were perfectly cast (Gretl is a star in the making) but that doesnt take away from the glorious lineup of adults alongside them. The Captain, Baroness and Uncle Max were particular highlights. Edelweiss was just perfection and when Max gently waved the family off and saluted as they escaped the concert was a piece of theatre magic that will stick with me forever . A gem of a building which oozes passion and creativity, long may it continue to reign supreme. Will be booking tickets for Dumb Waiter tomorrow. Bravo, Team Brookside. X
