After a very turbulent and trying tax return, that took so long to complete that my business incurred penalty charges, we have also just discovered that the essential CT600 HMRC form was never returned for the previous year, resulting in guess what...more penalty charges from the HMRC. Hopefully this will be resolved without us ever having to get back in touch with Your Local Accountants, however if it isn't, we will [with regret] have to.
Personally they were very nice, but from a trust and a business perspective they were sloppy and ineffective. Perhaps it was because we are not a huge business turning over hundreds of thousands of pounds that we were given this treatment, or perhaps it was that my direct debit of 75.00 per month was not gilded with gemstones, either way, we were a business, paying for a service that quite frankly we did not get.
This review is by no means an attempt to slander their name and I am sure that they have done great work for others - this is just a review based on our personal experience.
