I had a really interesting afternoon looking around the photos and exhibits for Birdwell history day. There was lots of famiar places and faces... Including some of me! Plenty of raffle prizes to be won and other stalls. Refreshments were available in the form of tea/coffee and biscuits. We were treated to various films of Birdwell life including the school's May Queen celebrations and about the pits. A thoroughly enjoyable experience seeing old Birdwell as it used to be.
