Laing Timber Products

Absolutely recommend Laing Timber products to anyone considering using them. I purchased a camping pod recently and the customer service has been absolutely amazing. Fraser is really friendly and helpful - you can tell he knows his stuff! The design is beautiful and Ive had some really happy customers thanks again Laing Timber!

Having owned and run a successful Glamping site, we decided to move into pods, we were looking for something that would be a little more luxurious than some we had seen. We found a Glamping site that already had some of Laing timber pods on and were invited to visit and have a look around, it was a pleasant surprise to see how well made they were inside and outside. We particularly liked the quality and design. We contacted the company and spoke to Frazier who was really helpful and put us at ease answering all our questions. We then went up to see the pods where we met both Frazier and his dad George, who is very experienced in pod manufacturing. Nothing seemed like to much trouble, including putting in extra windows and extending the porch. The visit included a lovely lunch in Laing cafe run by Georges wife where we sat and discussed furnishings. Delivery was agreed. We were updated receiving pictures of progress and checking to make sure we were happy with the cladding and changes we requested. The two pods arrived after a 6 hour journey accompanied by Frazier and his work colleague Lewis. The transporter took care of all the unloading and placing into position with precision. Frazier and Lewis worked tirelessly to connect the water and sewerage pipes and finishing touches before heading back on the long journey home. Now all that is left for us to do is the landscaping. We would highly recommend this family run business if you are looking for a quality pod. Hopefully if all goes well we will have another two heading down the motorway next year. AVOID AT ALL COSTS George at Laing Timber was building a camper van for me, due to be completed in June 2021. It is now December 2022 and my camper van is still not finished. He has been paid in full for the work and just doesn't care anymore. There has been so many calls and text messages ignored, many promises that parts for the camper have been ordered when they haven't, and lie after lie. I originally planned to spend the summer if 2021 holidaying in the camper then selling it when the market was at its best but I couldn't due to it not being finished resulting in hotel costs that's we shouldn't have had to pay just to have a holiday that year. If I sold the camper that year, I was going to use the profit to set up a summer house on my garden for work, but this also didn't happen resulting in a big loss or income. 21 months after we agreed he would build the camper, it's still not finished. The stress of this has caused illness with my fibromyalgia and usually the only time he replies to me is when I say I'm coming up to the yard to sort it. He has ignored my two pre-action court letters so I'm starting court proceedings next. Avoid this business at all costs. I've spoken to other people he has let down and it seems that this is a common thing with Laing timber. You have been warned!!
