Absolutely awful customer service and aftercare for the Ajax alarm system that I had installed by this company. To start with, when the system was fitted around 2 years ago, it was setup so that the installer had PERMANENT permission to use my alarm system whenever they wished. I was not made aware of this at the time of installation, and I wouldnt have agreed, as I feel my security is compromised. After speaking with another Ajax installer, it was brought to my attention that there is an option for timed access, where I have to grant permission for an installer to gain access to my system remotely. In addition to the above issue, my indoor siren battery died so I asked if this was something I could replace myself, but I was told I had to have a new unit installed. We agreed a callout for a Saturday, however the engineer didnt turn up at the agreed time, so I phoned to ask where he was and got told that they would phone me back once they had spoken to the engineer. The call was returned quickly, but I was told "sorry he had completely forgotten about you, but he has all the equipment he needs and is on way". An hour later the engineer turns up and unscrews the back of the internal sounder and removes two batteries and pulls out a replacement set of Duracell batteries, but unfortunately he did not have the correct ones. At this point I realised they had lied to me when I was originally told that the unit needed replacing; clearly just out for the money grabbing as this was also a 75 job just to put in batteries that cost 5. The engineer still took the money from me as he promised batteries would be posted on the Monday 2 days later. Fast forward 2 months and still no batteries posted, so I ordered them myself from Amazon and replaced them in a matter of seconds. As the service was no longer required, I requested a refund, only to be told that 5 would be refunded and 15 as a goodwill gesture because the company refused to refund the engineer callout cost, even though the engineer did absolutely nothing because he brought the wrong equipment for the job! I do not recommend using this company.
