The Pros :- * The owner is a nice lady, she's polite and friendly. Seems keen on making the good with am upbeat attitude rather than somebody that doesn't want to be there. * The food is very decent for a breakfast cafe. A good range of options and the salad sandwiches (chicken and ham etc) are stored in clean tubs and arranged well. Everything looks fresh. * The kitchen is well kept. The place may look a bit run down and old but it's pretty clean including the fridge internals. The Cons :- * Food handling is extremely poor. Criminally in fact. * I've seen cash being handled then immediately touching cold cooked chicken or muffins. * The biggest offender is handling raw sausage / bacon then cutting it in half then immediately touching - food prep surfaces / card machines / butter knives / customers muffins / food storage containers. The tools used multiple times that can very easily cross contaminate. * The issue could be fixed easily with a 15 second hand wash or using disposable gloves. * The lady has also contracted covid 19 then for some bizarre reason allowed the typical builders bum workmen to come in without masks during the lockdown which was against the law at the time. None of these criticisms are a slight to the lady herself. She's very friendly, she's just making simple mistakes that at worse could cause someone a severe illness. There is also a food handling certifcate up as well, so there isn't really a reason why these mistakes happen outside of laziness. Hopefully these things get addressed because good local breakfast cafe's are hard to come by.

I am always pleasantly amazed at how great the food is here I've had bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwiches and even their salad sandwiches are fantastic I love the beef stew & the corned beef hash was very tasty but I find that I have to have a couple of the portions of each & bread or muffins to fill the empty pit I call my stomach lol but I am constantly passing on the word that this is a fantastic place for either a sandwich or two or even a meal (not to forget about the nice cups of tea or coffee) I HEARTILY RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS CAFE
