Only good memories! Lived at no 80, opposite the Chippy, at least a couple of decades ago when newly arrived in the UK. As it was our first house and used to work at the infirmary which was at a stone throw distance form home, life was easy, comfortable and effortless. Friday was the most awaited day of the week because it was always fish and chips with blockbuster DVD watching day. The chippy knew us very well and would always ensure we got the best of the best. Gem of a man. Now I have a 6 bed detached estate with 4 cars and netflix and David Lloyd's membership and just eat and pizza hut and what not, but not those simples joys with personal touch that we had in Rochdale.
