Lovely pub, always good to visit, always a friendly greeting, the staff soon get to know you (as does Tara, the Irish setter, together with her pups, Toby and Tilly). Good beer, good wines. Food is simple (apart from Sunday roasts), but freshly prepared and nicely presented. Good function room. Cream teas are to die for (have to order in advance). Tuesdays there's a simple two-course lunch available at a very reasonable price so older people (in particular) can come out and meet, with social activities afterwards, because Iris and Tom care about the community.
