If you are unfortunate enough to work under someone in the HR department you will know first hand what a toxic working environment feels like. Prepare to be belittled for your superiors shortcomings, told to do things that are against best practice because doing things their way is much more important than following ACAS guidelines.
Its all about control and its exhausting to have to work for people who are so incompetent and caught up in their own ego that you spend all your time walking on eggshells.
This of course bleeds out into the whole business as HR asserts so much control it really makes the culture tedious and unbearable, you can earn more in plenty of other places that will treat you like an asset and value your contribution.
I wish I hadn't wasted so much time working here!
