I had recently took my old boots back for resold and service. While I was in store I left some 420 out of pocket. New boots is always a nice thing to have as my repair would be 4-6 weeks. Got the call the boots are ready, on collection the repairs looked good but the laces were out in the boot. I was pushed for time. When I got home I realised why they were out. They were passed it half cut through. I would expect a call or a mention in store as basic customer service having spent all this money in store. I would happily have paid this extra cost. This is. It 5 star service. While the Altberg boots are good I should have just bought from another online supplier. The service in HQ is disappointing.

Called in and purchased a pair of field and fell boots. The service was excellent, as mentioned before they have a state of the art foot measuring machine so I got exactly the boots needed. The sales guy was polite extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The boots are very well made and getting comfortable as they break in. Grab some leder gris waterproofer wax while you're there it works great on all shoes not just altbergs.

Just the place to go if you have non-standard feet. Probably pretty good even if you have normal feet :

Had a long drive to Richmond today, to visit Altberg. One pair of much loved Boots dropped off for re-sole. Bought boots and shoes which I have saved up for. Excellent service from Paul, who despite having four customers on the go at the same time managed to keep everyone happy and satisfied. Happy customers.
