I came here for work experience and i was given nothing to do. The staff was very rude towards me and my friend who was also doing work experience here. I felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time and almost felt judged by a couple of the staff members. Later on in the week it became so bad that we had to resort to giving ourselfs things to do by washing our hair, we asked to do this however following that they where rude and replied with nasty comments such as, bet you didnt think about that regarding our wet hair and continued to call us liars. Also one of the pots didnt get washed and we were blamed after multiple occasions. They continued to call us liars even though it was only w pot that didnt get washed. We where also not given any form of glove to wash dye and other dangerous chemicals out of pots. One of the days we where making coffees and must of accidentally put in wrong glass when a staff member came over and pulled the glass out with force as she was clearly angry and then spilt boiling water over my friend which landed on her leg and she didnt say anything to be polite however it did hurt and came up in a red rash, i also got the blame for that when i was no where near and following on i for told to clean it up and was told by one of the staff, oh look what youve done now. We where standing around (seeing as there was nothing for us to do) and came to 5 oclock which was our time to leave, we asked someone and they said yes goodbye but as we where leaving Julia proceeded to shout at us in front of the whole shop where do you think your going and told us to go out our bags down. You could see people felt sorry for us towards the end, she then came to where we was standing and said, did anyone tell you to leave? in a aggressive tone and continued to say, this is the real world now get used to it and then told us to clean the basins which we had done many times already which went over the time we was meant to stay for. Bearing in mind me and my friend are only 15, due to this continuing to happen we felt to uncomfortable to go back and resulted in us staying home for the rest of the week making us miss a efficient week that was meant to be a successful and enjoyable experience for us. I believe they have been taken of the work experience list at my school but if your thinking about going i highly do not recommend.
