( sadly not checked, but these days very rare dogs not allowed !) I arrived with my Kings Charles spaniel, impeccably behaved , no sooner got through the door to be told no dogs in here ! Not a welcome hello , nothing ! Id expect not in the restaurant but in the stone floor bar area ?????? The fact that the girl didnt even say we could sit outside and eat was nothing g more than 0% Customer Service ! Yes , I should have checked first having driven nearly 2 hours to get there , but the overall service was appalling!

Well where do I start..... I love this place, such a nice well presented establishment. Very cosy decor with an open fire during colder months, nice garden with cute seating areas, staff are always welcoming and locals always friendly and good for a chat. The food is amazing and a good selection of drinks. I've been 5 or 6 times for food and has never once been anything less than excellent and the price is extremely reasonable. Being a motorcyclist I often stop off for a soft drink or a bite to eat although it is always best to book for food as you can imagine it gets plenty of customers for food and being a experienced ran place they only book to the capacity of the kitchen and staff so the food is always flawless.
