My other half and myself frequent here at least 3 times a month and they great team always deliver without disappointment. Love the constant change in the specials menu and different cakes etc every time. Worth a trip, thanks to all involved.

So looking forward to Sunday lunch today as food sold in the Farm shop is always excellent. Very disappointed. Food was bland. Pork was very fatty even though I was told that the kitchen staff would be asked to cut the fat off. Had to ask for extra vegetables as portion given for three people was so small. Had to ask more than once for the Yorkshire pudding, the apple sauce and the horseradish. Service was not good . Should have had the cream tea !!

Have passed so many times and visited for the first time this week. I had a latte, and pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. They were really busy (Easter bank holiday) but they were well staffed and fully stocked, tables were cleared and cleaned promptly, and everything seemed to run smoothly. We were met and assigned a table, and then asked to put our order in at the counter. Staff were really welcoming, and efficient, the food was quick and very well presented. I was surprised to have back bacon with this meal as typically you would expect crispy, smoked streaky bacon, to give a better contrast with the between the sweet and salty but the bacon was good quality and cooked but not well done as you'd expect; purists would be disappointed. Will definitely go back, purely because staff were so lovely, the caf is large, lots of light, and plenty of room. Public areas were spotless. that said the food was lovely, and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.

My bacon and egg sandwich came complete with a large chunk of bone in the bacon. At first the waitress seemed unconvinced when I said that it wasnt a piece of my tooth but after showing it to chef he confirmed it was bone. She was at pains to point out that they do not get their bacon from Malt Kiln Farmshop but showed little duty of care towards their customer (me). I did comment that the bone was large enough not to go unnoticed but I was not offered any refund on my bone sandwich - just advised that they would be more careful with future customers. I will not be eating there again.

Had afternoon tea today. Quality of the food was excellent. Cakes were amazing. Would have liked a bit of salad, quiche, crisps etc to go with sandwiches. Probably cut the cakes down. I have had lots of afternoon teas so for the money which you charge add a few nibbles. The lad that served us was very good and looked after us very well. Parking: Plenty of parking
