The Opera Tea Rooms

Tried to eat here once. Owner, who was brisk and looked down at us, sat me and my mum at a filthy table, after waiting noone came to clean the table. Left. Cakes often look over baked. Drenching a lemon drizzle in icing won't cover that. Have reviewed this before. Comments were ignored, no apology. Its the little things that count.

This tea room is now called The Glasshouse. Excellent food/cakes great value for money, attentive service

Used a groupon voucher for afternoon tea. When entering told the waitress we was both vegetarian and would this be ok, she said no thats fine. We was seated and served very fast has there was no other customers in the establishment. The sandwiches we was served was 5 tuna (which is clearly not vegetarian) along side was 3 small cheese triangle sandwiches.The selection of overhaul food was tiny and not worth even the discounted price. We rang multiple times to say we was running late but no one answered, we presumed they was busy but when arriving no one was in there and plenty of staff which gave the impression they was choosing to ignore the phone. We left after 25 minutes has we felt we was an inconvenience. We took away the tuna sandwiches for someone else to enjoy.
