We selected MJT based on their good reviews, their reasonable quote and the fact they could shift work around to fit us in at relatively short notice (where other contractors were suggesting 3 month lead times). Jonathan is approachable and knowledgeable and was able to quickly understand our requirement as well as provide practical input and suggested tweaks/improvements. The general quality of the job has been high, we are very pleased with the result. I would particularly mention the work ethic of the team including long hours, weekends and bank holidays to get the job done. Where materials were required they were sourced, even including travelling long distances to get them (without an additional fee) and done so with a good attitude. We have every confidence in the driveway that has been laid but equally comfort in knowing if anything were to go wrong for whatever reason the product is guaranteed and Jonathan and team have a professional pride such that it wouldn't be left alone, they would come and sort it out. I would say communication was a slight issue at the start of the job but once this was pointed out it improved markedly and did not detract from the overall experience. Thanks Jonathan and team. Jonathan and team came to us recommended via a colleague who is using their services for their garden. Initial response on enquiry was fast and professional and after the visit, I had a professional quote within a day (and over the weekend). Quote was to remove the existing resin/pebble surface in our courtyard garden and front walkway and replace with slabs, including drainage to help with a very damp area to to poor surface drains previously installed. I spoke a couple of times to Jonathan and agreed a timescale which was two weeks from the quote date, something we were over the moon with. I also had a few questions over the two weeks that were answered quickly and professionally. Communication overall was great. They started a day later than expected due to snow delaying their previous job but let me know in plenty of time which helped me change my work schedule. Then they just got on with the job. Checking in with me on decision points and leaving things tidy and accessible each night. The job was completed in the agreed timescale which I know was a push due to some of the space constraints they faced at the property. Jonathan arranged to come back the following weekend to see how we were getting on and to discuss any snagging points, which there are. We have agreed a timescale to get these completed, both relatively minor things that are not urgent. Overall, a professional high quality job from a highly recommended company (and great blokes too).
