Retford Kitchens

Pete & Dennise Laskowski ( walk in wardrobe installation ) What can I say bad about Retford Kitchens , and the answer to that question in Nothing . They are a family run business, and provide an excellent service from start to finish , and that is a credit to Phil & Maria the owners . Very proactive for sure ! Likewise you will not find a better manufactured bespoke product anywhere in the country , and I should know being a ex carpenter / joiner in my younger years , but now retired and part disabled at the moment . Full credit for this goes out to Dave & his team in the Retford Kitchens workshop, truly excellent workmanship ! A further thank you goes out to Ryan & his team for fitting , couldnt fault them and they to were excellent , and I would like to point out it wasnt your typical run of the mill wardrobe installation , but it looks great . Lastly would we recommend Retford Kitchens, well in our book thats a no brainier , we certainly would !

OK, I have had the kitchen four years now, but I have had to call a repair service for a second time now. The fitter this time was an expert and simply tut-tutted because the Kitchen Factory fitter had set up the hob in eco mode (which explains why I have only ever been able to use one ring on Boost mode) I was told Oh, thats normal for that hob. No wonder the price was bargain. But worse - the reason why the hob has failed a second time is that the fitter had not used correct or sufficient sealer. Other kitchens I have lived with have never failed on me - the cooker in my childhood home was still working after almost 60 years. There were also a fair few issues about the standard of work by their fitter. Generally shoddy work. I will suggest here, that you have any new kitchen checked be a third party expert. On the other hand, the shop staff were good, friendly and helpful. At the time. But I shant be using them again unless, maybe, they set up a BS9000 type quality management system. We used Retford Kitchens to do an installation in our house. It had to be done carefully as the house is listed and original features had to be left untouched. The units were supplied on time, and Shane and his team of fitters, plasterers and tiler did an excellent and efficient job, to our complete satisfaction. It was a sizeable installation and the inevitable issues that occur in houses that are a few hundred years old did not faze anyone and were fully addressed. Communication could be a bit better, but the price was fair and the quality of workmanship excellent.
