        We stayed 2 nights,the hotel is looking a bit tired,but I must say that the service we received was first rate,all the staff could not have been nicer and nothing was too much trouble. We were allocated a room on the ground floor, it was very clean and comfortable,would stay there again.

        Appalling service. Booking was made weeks ago for next week and today they have emailed to confirm that they have cancelled it in favour of a different client. Travelling to the area from overseas and so chose a Mercure Hotel as I knew what I would receive. Certainly didn't expect that to include appalling customer service! Cited Covid as the reason (not that they are shut for it - but that they have to prioritise other clients).... other hotels don't seem to operate in this manner? Perhaps they haven't noticed that Covid is an international situation? Either way, don't waste your time booking with them. Other hotel chains are available.
