JADD Shoes

Bought a pair of JADD desert boots in brown suede. Workmanship and fit both very good. Will buy from JADD again.

I bought a pair of brown bark (colour) Urban crossover boots from Jadd a couple of months ago and I thought I'd try them out before making a review. First impressions out of the box were that these are very well made indeed. Excellent quality for the price. They came with a free key fob made from the same brown bark leather! All stitching is perfect and the lace flaps are perfectly symmetrical (I've bought much costlier boots in the past from another manufacturer and the lace holes didn't even line up). I could tell that these were very sturdy which certainly has proved to be the case over the many miles I've walked in these. The outer is constructed of a leather with an attractive matte finish that has a really nice, unique texture. I've taken these out walking along muddy and gravel trails and got some good mileage on the clock yet not once have I noticed any chaffing or rubbing and not a single blister, even when taken on the most tough terrain when brand new out of the box. I've found there is plenty of room in the toe section, preventing toes being squashed together which can be uncomfortable/problematic over uneven terrain and long distances. No such problem with these boots! The extra room allows your toes to spread out in their natural way. The leather lining makes a big difference for walking boots making the inside nice and smooth so not only are they comfortable but require very minimal breaking in and no rubbing as I've described. They have really deep tread so you need not worry about a bit of mud or slippery surfaces, they really grip to the ground and as Vibram's I image these will last me many years. The boots lace all the way up, giving a solid fit, reducing them risk of twisting your ankle and making the boots all the more comfortable since they fit the ankle and leg very snugly when laced up to the top. I'm impressed with how quick and easy they are to take on and off as you don't have to spend ages unlacing them to get them on or off, as you do with all my other boots. I cannot recommend these enough. They really do have an attractive aesthetic form combined with ideal functionality. Also by buying from Jadd you're supporting British manufacturing which is more important n ever at the the moment given the covid situation. I liked them so much I bought another pair in the acorn (green) colour which will look awesome and will really fit the surroundings when the summer comes (at the moment the brown bark ones do!).

Left it a while before posting to ensure the hi-top boots faired well, they did, the boots are great, really nice. Hold their shape and excellent quality overall. Waiting to order a pair of horweens but they're still out of stock, it's been a while

Amazing Quality and Wonderful Fit If you have ever tried a desert boot and felt that the fit wasn't really right. Go visit Jadd - His desert Boot fit is simply fabulous and a lot better fit around the ankle. Now we get to the really good bit. He makes the shoes to order and he will help you get exactly the right size. I sent him my measurements and he identified that I needed a wider last and sorted the fit. The boots arrived 2 days ago and I have been wearing them ever since. The quality is far beyond their price tag and the leather/Suede is really top notch. They are so good that I immediately ordered another pair of his Desert boots with a Crepe Soles and my wife was so impressed that she has ordered the High top desert boots as well with the Vibram soles. I also ordered a pair of his urban crossovers as soon as the leather swatched came through this afternoon !!! Jadd could not be more helpful and is passionate about his boots and shoes. I bought these natural veg tan leather boots around spring 2021. The second photo is what the boot looked like after one conditioning treatment soon after buying. The first is what the boots look like today!!! One year one. Guys, I'm properly excited about the patina that these boots will undergo in the next few years. As for the actual boot. I can't fault JADD, top-notch workmanship on these boots. Took a while to break in, but that's to be expected with a proper leather boot/shoe. The leather is thick but supple. I've just had another look on the website. And it appears they no longer offer this make of boot. I can, though, recommend this company whole heartedly. I wanted to write this review because the company doesn't appear to ha e a lot of reviews already. And I really rate their workmanship.
