Great advise and selection of rope for reskining my Djembe. Also purchased an " Iron Wood" Djembe and attended workshops in Kasa, Djansa, Guinea Fare to name a few, All the classes are superbly structured and some friends made along the way. A great family experience and business!

This place and these people are nothing short of AMAZING! The best quality, handcrafted instruments. Walking into the shop you feel instantly accepted into a new family and a way of life. Marcus, Gemma & Anne go out of their way to make you leave with a smile, a new skill or the PERFECT drum. Rumor has it no one has ever visited Wooden Roots just once... they always return for more :)

Well what can I say about Wooden Roots? The djembes made are absolutely first class and are stunning. Marcus and Gemma also provide a lovely space for drumming lessons/workshops. Marcus has always been a great help and very knowledgeable about basically anything to do with djembes.The Wooden Roots team are always friendly, helpful, and happy to help and enjoy a laugh too. Overall - Excellent.

Marcus, Gemma and Annie have all welcomed me during all my recent Djembe drum lessons which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Marcus has been a fantastic patient tutor, I am looking to learning more over the forthcoming year. Time to pick my first Djembe drum !
