Our family had a delightful 2 hour cruise up and down the river between the locks at Shiplake and Marsh lock towards Henly. Celebrating a family birthday we enjoyed a some alcoholic beverages and some snacks we took aboard. Communications with Alex was excellent arranging the booking and his brother Chris was an excellent skipper on the day. We were blessed with lovely weather and also able to soak up the sun bobbing along the Thames. Only wished we could have booked longer in hindsight, but we had to get to land for other birthday arrangements.

We had the most wonderful afternoon celebrating a family birthday last weekend on the Silver Tern. Alex was so friendly, helpful and accommodating and the boat was just perfect. We sailed up into Henley and back enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Highly recommend to anyone interested in a private charter along the Thames.

Alex at Silver Tern really looked after our large group of guests. Pick-up and drop-off points are convenient, the price for this time of year is very reasonable, and the boat is lovely. We did a two hour trip from Shiplake, going into Henley and along the regatta stretch of river. Crockery, barware, and ice is all provided, and Alex set it all up for us as wed brought along picnic food for the trip. We enjoyed it so much weve booked again.
