The Old Dairy Livery Yard

The Old Dairy is perfect - huge stables, lovely turnout and miles and miles of off-road hacking. Gail is so knowledgeable, so thoughful about how she manages the yard and will do anything to help. The horses are all relaxed and settled with each treated according to its own needs, and there is a lovely, supportive atmosphere for the humans too. All the best things about having a horse with none of the stress - magic!

We love it here! Large, comfortable stables, good grazing, a decent arena and excellent care. However its the hacking that really sets The Old Dairy apart. Miles and miles of farmland all around; its impossible to get bored. Plus there is the New Forest (also within hacking distance) to the south if you do! Gail is super friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is laid back and supportive. If you love to hunt / hack / event and generally have fun with your horse, then The Old Dairy could be perfect for you.

I started keeping my two horses at The Old Dairy on the day it opened and going there was the best thing I did in 2021! The stables and yard block are spacious and well kept and all the horses are relaxed and happy. The haylage from the farm is of the best quality and the the horses are constantly moved around so they can be turned out all year with the fields remaining in good order. But the best thing is probably the hacking if you like galloping and jumping! My two both go out and about a lot and with the amazing riding (with jumps!) and hills, plus the school, I can keep them in excellent shape. Gail runs the yard responsibly and with efficiency and is brilliant at trying to keep everyone happy, a task that is pretty hard in a livery yard!

A Fantastic Yard. Gail has created a yard with a professional, calm and fun atmosphere. The horses are put first and the care they receive under her care is first class.
