My advice is to book an appointment with Paul Whiteman Opticians as their expertise and attention to detail is second to none. Right through from the comprehensive eye test to the choice of frame and fitting, nothing is too much trouble for the highly trained staff. I opted for Zeiss multifocals that are photochromic and I paid extra for the Individual specification lenses that are worth every penny. I also opted for some lovely Lindberg frames as Paul Whiteman are very experienced at advising and dispensing this brand. The end result is that I can see perfectly at all distances including reading with just one pair of very comfortable spectacles

Thoroughly delighted to have my prescription sunglasses brought back from the dead today. I bought them from Paul Whiteman a couple of years back, then at the weekend accidentally rolled them up inside my tent (jumped up and down on it to try and fit the tent back into its sack) and only found them days later, frame twisted and one of the lenses popped out. Five minutes at Paul Whiteman's and they were reshaped, sorted and back on my face as good as new, without costing me a penny. Apparently it was worth buying a decent acetate frame in the first place, but the service today was exemplary - friendly and professional. Great stuff!

I suffered from a weepy left eye for some time. I went to Specsavers and was told "take these drops"... went to the doctors, take this cream... nothing worked, I phoned Paul Whiteman as I wanted an experienced person to look at my eyes, and they solved my issue straight away (Special mention for Liam! LOVELY GUY!). Just come back from a Full eye test with them, and they spent so much time with me asking any questions and putting my mind at rest. It may cost a few quid more, but the service you get is so worth while. THANK YOU!

First time visit to Paul Whiteman. I'd been experiencing a problem with my eye for some time, and previous eye tests at other places never seemed to be able to give me an explanation why and just prescribed me glasses. Paul Whiteman was recommended to me, so I went for a full eye test and I'm so glad I did. Paul Whiteman is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and solved my issue right away. I really appreciated how he carefully listened to what issues I was experiencing and then took the time to give me a full, in-depth explanation (which was incredibly helpful). Very happy, and highly recommend
