I had Tracy cut my hair today, I had a wet cut. It was my first visit. I have long hair and its thinning, Tracy suggested taking more off my layers than I'd planned, I put myself totally in her hands and having come home and dried it, I can honestly say this is the best cut I've had in years. Shes worked miracles and this is with me just rough drying it, hardly taken any time over blow drying it, my hair has just fallen into place and looks so much thicker to before the cut. I will definitely be returning to this salon, thank you for the very warm welcome, and for the amazing styled cut. Service: Hairstyling

This is a long overdue review but Jacqui and the team are brilliant. Jacqui is very experienced. She really listens to what her clients want and, from that starting point, makes suggestions about how to get there. This is different to my experience at some other salons where the hairdressers have some fixed ideas about the look you *should* want and go from there. As far as I'm concerned, The Salon is a local institution and I wouldn't go anywhere else! Service: Hairstyling

Unfortunately I cannot give a positive review of this place. No one welcomed me once inside, and took a good few minutes to even acknowledge (a quick hi Ill be with you in a second wouldve been sufficient). I couldnt let them know I was there as there were at least two people serving a woman at the cash desk and it was blocked. The lady who did my hair was lovely and I enjoyed talking to her, but the colour was totally botched. I only wanted my fringe sorted out (a strip of blonde at the front to be neatened), they even recommended it was so easy I could do it at home. I said my hair takes well to toner. They bleached it and applied the toner, first it went a bright blue. So they got rid of that colour and then it turned bright barney purple. After struggling to get rid of this purple (multiple washes, bleach bath etc) it was then a horrible brown colour, one I had not asked for at all. My scalp had sores on at the front and she could tell I was getting upset and was in pain at the constant washing. Another customer could see I was upset and commented on my blue fringe and another one of the hairdressers basically blamed my hair for taking quickly and said I had told them that (which I didnt understand?). Although they caused me to have scabs on my scalp and give me a colour I didnt want, they still charged me full price for the colour. I paid as I just wanted to get out there as quickly as I could and rang my mum in tears on the way home. The cut, however, was really nice. Thats what the extra star is for.
