Stopped by here on a ludicrously long bicycle adventure from Yorkshire, and was greeted with friendly faces, enthusiasm, cold cola and local flapjack. Perfect! To the couple that had formerly lived in Meltham - I made it as far as Colchester in the end, totalling 231 miles. I was very happy with the ride. To your friend who asked how many calories I would have burned - the final figure for that single ride was 10,480 calories! Many thanks for your help and warm welcome.
