Popped in on Saturday to buy some wine and how delighted we were to encounter the charming John Luca. We shared with him what we were cooking for our anniversary dinner that evening and he helped us choose complimentary wines. A shopping experience how it should be.

EDIT: Revising my initial review. This is my local store and since moving here a few months ago, we have purchased easily 600 of wine from this shop. Disappointingly, two of the bottles were corked, and we were over charged for at least 1 bottle in the last dozen we purchased. This store writes paper receipts so it is easy to do. I note these are both issues that other reviewers have mentioned too. I visited at the shop to let them know and mentioned it to the staff, who was quite dismissive and unpleasant about it. He insisted that we should've brought the bottles back for them to taste so they could ascertain the fault, and not that it was not just a matter of me not liking the wine. It was overall a rather condescending interaction, and incredibly poor customer service. A real shame as they stock a great variety of wines but I'm not feeling particularly inspired to shop there any more.
