Certain 5 stars for me and my family. Will start with negatives, car park is 2.3 per h in season. Access road is narrow single carriage way for few miles (it is positive for some people). Positives, there are quite a variety of things to do with in 1 to 10 minute walk from car park. Interesting kids playground and few tables for pick nick or sitting down while litle ones are playing is just next to carpark. 1 minute walk to toilets that are for free or other way there is pub King Ethelbert (have not been there). 2 min walk to cafe ish place, I know they sell hot drinks and ice creams, don't know about prices or anything more. 4 minute walk, and you can be next to towers themselves, kids loves climbing on ruins, overall its not something that will make stope and admire average person, but it gives more value to place than just field. Add 4 minutes to that and you can be on beach behind towers or on long tarmac road along beach towards Margate. If you would go to other side from car park would end up on trail through wilder tracks towards Hernebay . For us it's great to start with play area then have some snack ang go to ruins for some climbing and some games, then to beach to throw rocks against rocks or in sea then return for bit more play. If coming without kids it's and like walking there is 2 very diferent paths you can take.
