I was recently treated for prostate cancer and I am now in recovery following my successful operation. From start to finish, my treatment was superb. My journey was assisted with clear advice and information at every stage, and I felt wonderfully supported by the kindly professionalism of the team, from the lovely receptionist at "urology procedures", the nursing staff and the specialists who treated me. Working together, they made what could have been a challenging and worrying experience for me so much easier to manage. All I can say is "thank you".

This Urology department thinks it is acceptable to tell patients they have cancer by a nurse. Yes that is right everyone, if you have cancer that bombshell will be delivered by a nurse. Not a doctor in sight, anywhere. Apparently patients here are such lemmings that surely they will not want to ask questions or be reassured as to what happens next. No, you have to wait a week for that luxury. Oh but hey I forgot they do give you a nice glossy booklet to read.
