Love this place! I picked up a sandwich from the shop. The staff was very friendly. The food was cooked pretty fast and it was very tasty. The caco bread was especially nice. I also had a rice cake which i really liked. Reminded me of bakery sweets back home. I think I prefer buying at the shop rather than though deliveroo, even if I take the food back home. The prices are much lower. Super recommendable. I will definitely come back!

Amazing food!! I miss visiting Madeira in this pandemic world and this place just reminds me of my many holidays there. Great food, great value for money, and quite a big menu. So happy to have found this place.

I love this place! A cute, friendly family-run Madeiran eatery that sells the best snacks and seems to be the local hangout for Portuguese speakers in Reading. Their homemade pasteis de nata (custard tarts) are easily the tastiest in Reading, and even beat those sold by a certain nata chain in London in my opinion. I could quite easily eat several in one sitting. Apparently in Madeira they eat them with a sprinkle of cinnamon on - just ask if you want to try it. Their deep-fried rissois come in different shapes with different fillings (prawn, cod, pork, beef and chicken) - worth trying them all to find your favourite, mine is prawn. But if youre looking for something a little more substantial, they do a great, beautifully garlicky type of Madeiran steak sandwich, which includes a fried egg and is enclosed in a type of flat bread. Definitely recommended.
