Crowne Plaza Reading, an IHG Hotel

I have a voucher that I was not able to use due to the poor health of my mother. My mother has now passed, and i am in need of a break, I tried to book with Crowne Plaza and they told me they are not taking vouchers that are old regardless of it being in date and no compassion for my circumstance, it was rejected. I am utterly discussed with they treat of me and would never recommend them to anyone.

This hotel is great! Ive been to a lot and this one has all you need. great beds, nice rooms swimming pool and sauna and steam room and gym and a great full breakfast with lovely veggie sausages and proper orange juice. Check out is 12! GET IN! Great value for . Only issue would be that the rooms was a tad hot at night (just opened the window) and the phone to reception wasnt working and the coffee from the machine wasnt nice but they never are from machines.

Disappointing stay. The hotel seems a bit run down. Wall paper coming away in the room, steam room benches were broken, changing rooms are pretty worn and the lockers need pad locks which is not advertised and not offered. I booked the hotel on the phone and was told breakfast was served from 6am. I had an event (10km and 5km run) early and so had to leave at 7.30am in the morning the restaurant was shut and only opened at 7.30am when i had to leave. I was told they could not offer me any kind of refund and I was not offered anything else. It didn't seem like the reception staff wanted to try. Safety: Steam room tiled bench was split and flexed open when you sat down. This could be a safety risk and expose sharp tiling if a heavier person was to sit down. Does seem like such things are checked too often.
