Valspars wood and metal water based paint, use at your peril and cost. It has the most peculiar properties, it is not compatible with water based primer/under coats. The primer rejects the paint making it it impossible to continue painting..It also has the potential to reactivate pollyfiller even though fully cured. Very little advice or explanation from Valspar apart from a replacement tin of paint presumably with the same inherent problems. The covering power is poor, and somehow despite looking good on application dries opaque. Good points are quick drying times allowing for multiple coats in a day and easy and quick clean up.

I wish there was a feature that would let me rate minus stars. Purchased 5 litres Brilliant white silk for walls and ceilings. Opened and stirred, it is runny as milk. Contacted #Valspar, received an automatic reply last month! No one's got back to me. I highly would not recommend this brand for sub standard products and zero standard customer service.

Paid 3 for a plastic Valspar pot at BnQ. Impossible to open the pot...and a great danger of the paint exploding over the carpet....should I actually get into it. Think customer. Think old person. Think less strong wife. Think risk of spilling.
