thank you to Liviu for fixing my laptop's hardware issue. I was really upset and felt hopeless about fixing my Acer laptop but not only did he explain how to fix it, he told me more about my laptop, how to protect it and what to look out for in general with laptops. He is friendly, considerate and an expert at what he does. I highly recommend uni computers to anyone in need of help like I was. Thank you!!!

Uni Computers is a small family business run by brothers Adnan and Zubair at nearby sites: one Winnersh, one nearer Reading. I needed old school IT stuff and 'speak to me slowly' advice. I happened upon an online 5 star review re Adnan at the Winnersh shop (thankyou to the person who took time to do that). I descended on the poor chap with a big need for clear and patient help. I've since spent considerable time with both Adnan and Zubair, who can barely be distinguished apart given their shared incredible knowledge, their good looks.. and being genuinely and naturally focussed on customer service and helping people. They both have the personality traits of perfectionism, empathy and an honest love of helping people. We are all becoming accustomed to large companies spouting 'excellent customer service' vibes and relying only on their underpaid sociable staff to deliver (if you are lucky enough to get to speak to an actual human). Uni Computers is the real deal personal-contact, ultra expertise business that genuinely wants to help you, and keep your custom long term; not necessarily by just being the only IT Help Stop you'll ever need. These guys care about their customers. And wider community issues. They are passionate about recycling and have links to charities who provide IT stuff to those who cannot afford to buy it. I am so glad I met these guys. If I have questions, once I get working with my my new kit, there is a 'remote help' service where the boys can access my pc. I know I will find that a great help. Or I can call them, or email, or ask for a home visit. Remember this kind of almost 'old skool' personal customer service..?! Finally, my new (old) hard drive is an ex-office Dell small piece of recycled kit. Adnan informed me of the capability and durability of older, used, office equipment. Built to last. A phrase that is losing its potency as manufacturers do the opposite.. Adnan refurbished that sold-on office hard drive which is now, in pristine condition and with massive capability, everything and more that I need IT wise for my lifetime. I saved money, and the planet sighed a very tiny relief at a good decision. Uni C do repairs, offer advice and sell new products, and many refurbished. If you have kit you no longer want, consider talking to the boys. If you have any IT needs, this is the place..
