I gave my laptop to be fixed back in 2021, where Maciek was quick to tell me the problem and take in my laptop - after the original fix didn't work and needing to order different parts (it wasn't a simple battery problem as originally thought) I paid for the order of the parts and the time he'd already spent so the fix could happen as quickly as possible. Almost 2 years have gone by and apart from one response to a phone call where he stated he'd return my items and refund me, I've had no response to any texts, phone calls or emails. Maybe he'll respond to me here? But otherwise do not be fooled and avoid this company.

Avoid this company. He owes me 480 as he did absolutely nothing with the hard drive for months and gave every excuse in the world for not doing so. I stupidly paid up front. We are now going through the courts to recover my money.

Problem with my Mac diagnosed accurately and fixed well for a reasonable fee. Quick, professional and polite. Highly recommend

Unfortunately I can't recommend Maciek. Very similar experience to other 1 star reviews, especially in terms of deadlines and communication. I understand things don't always go perfectly when trying to fix something, but there's no excuse for ignoring messages and phone calls or not being proactive to update in the first place. In May I approached Maciek about recovering a hard drive that wouldn't start up, a likely issue with the power unit. He collected the drive and inspected it, coming back quite quickly to confirm he had managed to access it and how much stuff three was on it. I then arranged delivery of a new drive to a pick up point near his home for the files to be copied over to. He then came round to show me the drive which did contain some files I recognised, though all with odd filenames. So far so good - I agreed to pay him ahead of fully reviewing the drive. The key objective was to recover Apple timemachine backup, but this wasn't working. On review online, it appeared the destination drive needed to formaTted differently (it was exFAT, while the drive being recovered - as is normal for a mac drive - was HFS+). Maciek advised he doesn't format new drives in case it affects the warranty but would happily re run the process. This was the 16th May. 2 weeks later, and with no update on where to deliver to or when he'd collect, I followed up on the 30th May. No reply. Chased again on the 6th June saying I would be in Wokingham and he agreed to receive the drive. 10 days later (16th June) I chase as haven't heard anything, no reply. Further 2 weeks (4th July) I chase agian. And 6th July. and 7th July. And 14th July. Finally in early hours of 15th July he replies, apologises that he hasn't done it yet but will do it soon. 15th July he messages to say the destination drive (the new one I'd bought and had delivered to him) was refusing to be mounted and was faulty and included some photos to prove this, asking I get a replacement sent to him. I organise an in warranty replacement the same day. We have a phone call where Maciek agrees to print the return form and send off the faulty drive - which needed to be done by the 22nd July. 1st August, having heard nothing, I follow-up. 3rd August he replies with a link to an Emirates free flights website (which I presume is sent in error), and nothing else. On the 6th August, now two weeks since organising the replacement, I chase again and outline how I need this resolved by the 18th August, otherwise I would need to pursue in the small claims court. No reply. I follow-up again on the 15th August highlighting the 18th August deadline, still no reply. And now, here we are on the 18th August. I appreciate things haven't gone entirely smoothly. It was obviously the first time he'd recovered a timemachine backup and didn't know to flag to me the need for the destination drive to be formatted a certain way. And the destination drive becoming corrupted is extremely unfortunate - I have had many of this seagate drive over the years and never had any failures, but must take him at his word (though again it would have been better if he hadn't been delaying doing this for so long). When I have spoken and met him, he's a lovely guy and I want him to succeed. In fact I wish I could leave a positive review. But after so long and so little communication, I'm out of options. I will update as and when there are developments, but I would steer clear of using Maciek - or delay payment until 7-10 days after completion to give time to ensure it has been successful.
