Fantastic place! I used to go there as a kid and I'm so glad it's reopen but beyond rose tinted glasses... it's great grub and a lovely place to stop down the river :)

A great little cafe by the River Thames attached to the Reading Rowing Club. The are a few benches and parasols on the patio area. A nice grass bank to sit in when it's sunny. It offers a wide range of drinks but hot and cold and a variety of cooked foods from beef burgers to chips, sandwiches, ice creams, crisps and sweets. The beef burgers I've had there were delicious and were very generous. It is a small shop and only had one or two staff on at a time but there's never much of a wait and it is worth it. Really reasonable prices too. You can even buy bird food there too feed the swans on the Prominade which is part of the Thames Path. The cafe is very clean.
