Mike restored my leak valve amps. After 11 months they developed a small fault. Mike took them back, repaired them and extended the guarantee for another year. Really splendid service from a man who really understands valve amplifiers. I could not be more pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the aftercare.

I just called the gentleman to ask him to help me with my new turntable. I have been having problems with the anti skating. I wanted him to come and fix the problem ( was willing to pay him 100 quid that he was charging me) but I also used the term tutorial. I got a lecture from him on the phone. I have never experienced such a rude service in my life. As if he's doing me a favour. Good luck to him with future customers.

I have seen quite a few reviews here where people have complained about long waits for repairs and I wanted to give some hope that patience may be rewarded. In October, 2019 I entrusted Mike Solomons with the servicing of my beloved Leak Troughline valve tuner which, even in its original state, was far more transparent than any modern radio I have heard. When I dropped it off, we had a long and enjoyable chat about vintage audio and I was impressed by Mike's knowledge and experience. He even has his own special modification for the Troughline, which improves the performance beyond its original spec without changing the circuit. However, by this year, after unanswered calls and emails, I had given up all hope of ever seeing it again. Imagine my surprise when I received an email out of the blue from Mike stating that my Troughline was ready for dispatch! The email also included a full account of repairs done and parts replaced. I can honestly say he has done a wonderful job of realigning the tuner as the sound is now clearer than ever with less noise and it can pull in far more stations in what is a very poor reception area.
