Just returned from five days at Blackwell Barn. The location is perfect for a peaceful get away. There are lots of walks to be done locally as well as visiting Flatford Mill and Lavenham. The barn itself was spotless with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite had a lovely shower. We loved watching the alpacas and the chickens. The welcome pack was very well received on arrival as after a six hour journey we were in desperate need of a cuppa. Local amenities were within a ten minute drive. We would thoroughly recommend anyone wanting to visit the Ipswich/Colchester area to stay here.

Every part of the barn is really well done. Its so spacious and modern (yet also cosy with original features) with lots of attention to detail. Location is great and we loved the alpacas and chickens. Lovely walks on your doorstep and really close to Dedham & Flatford where we swam in the river. I couldnt really recommend this place more to be honest; it was such a find and were so glad we stayed. Thanks to our wonderful hosts too who responded to all of queries really quickly.
