Fantastic spot for a relaxing break away from it all. Very welcoming hosts who also left a wonderful basket of goodies. Highly recommend if your looking to get away for a romantic few days.

Dog friendly, secluded and cosy. I had no signal here which was perfect and really helped me switch off. There was plenty of trails to do nearby and Barnard Castle was a short drive away. We arrived late due to road closures (thanks to the GNR) and we got a bit lost but my husband rang the owner who was more than happy to direct us and we found it straight away. The hot tub was different to what we're used to and took a while to heat up (but not 100% I was doing it correctly) but apart from that it was a lovely weekend.

We spent two nights last weekend in this beautiful shepherds hut. We didn't know what to expect but we were blown away by our hut experience. The hut itself has everything you need. Lovely comfy bed, fire burning stove and a fully working shower room. Lots of extra touches are provided especially our breakfast hamper. All much appreciated. Outside the hut has a hot tub, heated by an enclosed fire. It was bliss at the end of busy days. Surrounded by a field of sheep, small lakes you feel private and relaxed. Can not recommend enough.

Lovely location and very quiet and secluded. The hut is very small so just big enough for a couple. The hut was lovely inside and the hamper was a great addition. The only let down for us was the Hottub. We had explained to the owner Clare that we would like to get in it when we arrived back from our evening meal. Unfortunately even after 4.5 hours it still was know where near warm enough so we didnt get the chance to use it. The next day we would have liked to have had a few hours in it before we went off exploring but didnt fancy waiting 4.5 hours plus for it to warm up. We only stayed the one night out of the two. Clare refunded us 50. I think due to this we wont be returning to this site. The site would be perfect for anyone else who isnt t too fussed about a hottub but for us this was one of the reasons we chose it and of course the beautiful location.

Fantastic place to stay and in a beautiful peaceful rural location. We were the first people to stay since the covid outbreak. The first day and a half the hot tub wasn't working. Having not been open for 3 months (due to covid) the hot tub hadn't been used and the seal had come loose. This was no fault of Clare as she would have had no idea this would happen. However, we were instantly offered another 2 night stay free of charge for the issue. Can't thank Clare enough for offering that. After the initial issues we had the most perfect stay, the hut itself is fantastic, great views over the fields and the bathroom was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The hot tub was brilliant once working and we are already looking at booking another stay in the future. Thanks to Clare for all your effort to get the hot tub sorted it was much appreciated.
